ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
With an extensive background in ballet, dance, and modern dance, Adriane shares her love for dance to adults and children through her teaching and various performances. She is also co-directer of Nomad Dancers. She credits her knowledge of Middle Eastern dance to talented colleagues and mentors.
KAREN KATE
PROFESSIONAL MINION
Karen Kate is a student of many dance styles including Polynesian, Salsa, and Central Asian Dance. She started her Middle Eastern training in late 2014 with her dance mentors at Saffron Dance, Sahara Dance, and Joy of Motion. She is currently training with Victoria Teel.
Danah
TREASURER
Danah started her Middle Eastern dance training at Joy of Motion Studio in Arlington Virginia. She is currently training with Adriane Whalen.
Ya Meena
Dancer
Ya Meena grew up dancing. She studied ballet and tap as a child. She was a cheerleader, Drill team and Dance team performer in middle school and high school. Her love of world music drew her to study and learn eastern styles of dance. Moving to the Washington DC area after college made it possible for her to study with many very talented world dance instructors. Ya Meena has extensive dance background in Middle Eastern Dance, Persian Dance and Central Asian Dance. She has performed nationally and internationally with Raqs El Hob and Nomad Dancers.
